Who we are

Nutrivalley is a biotechnology company creating sustainable, biodegradable alternatives to plastics. By harnessing the power of fungi and microorganisms, we transform waste into innovative biomaterials that reduce pollution and promote a circular economy. Our mission is to drive the transition to a greener, healthier future through nature‑based solutions.

Nutrivalley was founded by three researchers from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, combining expertise in soil biology, microbiology, biotechnology, and biomedical sciences.

Their complementary skills led to the development of the Lusoturf project, which inspired the creation of the company to bring innovative, sustainable biomaterials to market.

In addition to developing its products, Nutrivalley also offers biotechnology services to support the development of sustainable processes and solutions for other industries.
